Trade representatives visit the Carlson SchoolIn December 2010, 22 consular trade officers representing 16 countries visited the Carlson School to receive an overview of our international business education activities from Assistant Dean of International Programs Anne D’Angelo. The group is part of the Chicago International Trade Commissioners Association, which is chaired by Franz Roessler of the Austrian Consulate (who is also an alumnus of the Carlson School’s semester exchange program).
Group members serve the Upper Midwest and schedule periodic visits to different parts of the region to learn more about the states and communities and raise awareness about opportunities to do business in their respective countries. Their visit to Minnesota and the Carlson School coincided with the state’s export week.
Countries represented by the group include Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Greece, Hong Kong, Korea, Macedonia, Malaysia, Netherlands, Pakistan, Philippines, Romania, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, and Uruguay.
